Sorry for not updating for the past 9 days! It was a really exciting, heart-warming and tiring journey as we left the previous decade behind and embrace the new one ahead. I went on a roadtrip with a handful of close friends I’ve made in university, and I’m still struggling with the 800+ photos I’ve taken throughout the trip. Post-processing really kills! :)
Before I start blogging about the roadtrip, here’s something to keep you entertained: a song titled United State of Pop 2009 (Blame It on the Pop). It is a remix made up from the 25 top billboard hits in 2009 by DJ Earworm and I think it’s a perfect way to celebrate the new year (and the old one as well).
Hope you love it! And here’s a preview of the upcoming entry on our roadtrip!

Have a great Friday and weekend! :)

Terry Mun (Teddy)
I'm relatively new to the design world - only to start learning HTML in secondary school and then moving on to (X)HTML and CSS in college. Since then I have been hand-coding my designs using notepad, alongside with the amazing help from Firebug. I embrace photography as a personal persuit during my free time, and I prefer spending the rest of it doing meaningless quizzes on Facebook and destroying the world (in Rampage World Tour, that is).
Oh thank you Teddy for posting that video! I have been wondering what it was called for awhile after hearing it over the radios. Turns out it’s DJ Earworm again – his 2008 Remix was something already and now this. Some talent eh? =)
That photo of your roadtrip looks pretty wide. In fact, a lot of your recent photos are really wide. Do you have an ultra wide-angle lens or something? =D
You’re welcome! Yep, it’s DJ Earworm again – I heard his 2008 remix too but I forgot who was the amazing DJ behind it… and I had to wait one year to know who he is hah. If you’d ask me to choose, I’d pick the 2009 as my personal favourite :)
Oh, that’s because I’ve recently acquired a UWA lens, a Tammy (or Tamron, but I choose to give affectionate names hah) 10-24mm lens. The barrel distortion is terrible at the widest end but thank goodness it’s easily corrected in Photoshop.
Awesome video! It amazes me how a decade had changed me drastically, particularly in 2009. Years ago I’d be making a O.O”"” face whenever people talk about music. Now instead I enthuse with them :D
Oooh roadtrips! Hmm just curious though, where’s the place you took your photo? It looks a bit like one of the temples I visited in Singapore. Is it Guan Yin Thong? Or is it a place in Chinatown? After all the snow here, I daresay my memory has turned a wee bit rusty :P
I can’t believe we were done with the first decade of the new millenia. It’s a mixture of a wide range of feelings – especially after reading a book: LIFE 2000-2009: The Decade that Changed the World (Amazon link).
Of course, we shouldn’t forget how the music scene changed – bubblegum pop died off, independent bands became popular and etc. Electropop dominated the scenes from 2009-2010. Michael Jackson passed away, so did Farah Fawcett, Jade Goody and many.
Twilight became an insatiable craze, 3D films started to boom. The world economy went on a roller coaster ride, the credit crisis exemplified the fact that how banks are unreliable.
9/11 changed the world, and it’s probably the only few events that we can remember happening in 2001.
Regarding the photo, it was taken at Kek Lok Si in Penang, Malaysia. You should visit Penang someday! It’s a really great place :)
OMG! That video is brilliant. I love it, thanks for sharing. :) I’m going to have to check out other stuff by this DJ guy, wow. I am quite impressed. Brilliant idea!…
I am really looking forward to your entry of your recent trip. The photo you included is lovely! I love all the colors and the background is just amazing.
Looks like you’ve enjoyed the remix as much as I did! I was initially a little sceptical how is he going to blend all the songs together but the effects turned out to be surprisingly good!
You might need to wait a little while more before I start writing about the trip, heheh! The photos were finally done with but I’m yet to start penning. I guess that’ll take a day or two and will be ready by the weekend.
Happy New Year… That’s really an awesome video. IS there on China, your photo? Very nice place, and good angle. You are really know how to take a nice photo. Is that you who took the pic?
When did you visit Kek Lok Si?
I was there on last Friday(8th Jan), but I barely took any photos. Just wanted to find some peace there.
And thanks for sharing the video. I heard the song before but never really knew what the title was. The MV is certainly quite a piece of great work, so is the song.

Hello Easter Egg hunter! You've discovered the magic of the Konami Code!
Yea. You probably know what the Konami code is before getting to this page. So now what? Here is a randomised YouTube video on my favourites list... which includes Rickroll, if you're luck enough to get it.

Take care, Trina!
I agree with Latrina in that picture is amazing! Not really a surprise coming from you though. (#);)
Anyway, best of success in 2010!
