Known as Viva la Vida in Spanish, that’s what I felt at the end of my last paper. The song by English alternative rock band Coldplay was one of the few songs on my ‘exam playlist’ – songs that I believe will motivate myself through the grueling two weeks of hell. Last semester I remembered one of the songs was KT Tunstall’s If Only. Not to mention, one of the album art of the song uses the painting of Eugène Delacroix, titled La Liberté guidant le peuple (‘Liberty Leading the People’ in English).

My favourite feature of this song is the repeating string section – I can feel as if I’m in a theatre watching an orchestra performing the song, with the violinists passionately playing. Their long hair weaving through the air as they press their bows against the string, back and forth. It feels like liberation – releasing your inhibitions and letting yourself go free.
Urgent: Vote for Dayna’s design!
Dayna’s design was selected as one of the best ten hand-drawing WP designs, and she’s leading the competition with a very small margin. Do help her if you’re able to vote, thank you! The voting closes in a week’s time, so act fast.
This post is a little long, so the rest (and the weekly Fonty Friday feature) has been tucked under the read more tag.
It’s the last one
The final paper was on metabolism – and even to those who’re unfamiliar with the biochemistry behind all the junk, they know that the word equates to memory work, memory work and more memory work. Basically we’re required to memorize how nutrients on your body is digested and ‘metabolized’, how energy is extracted from food via step-wise reaction pathway, meaning that we have to also know each intermediates and enzymes involved in every single step. Pretty insane. Luckily we have a 6-day break between our second last paper (the one that I told you I bombed) and that gave me enough time to prepare of the last paper.
It’s one of the toughest paper I’d expect because of the amount of grey matter and brain juice required to contain all the information. Every night as I turn to sleep I can’t help but to try reciting what I’ve memorized in the day, and to my horror, realizing that I’ve forgot most of them. The night before the exam, I was so worried and troubled that I only managed to sleep for a few hours and then pull myself out of bed to wise up to the impending doom.
I remembered as I plopped myself on my seat, lecturer Gerard was walking the aisle and our eyes just met. He gave me that really evil grin. I broke out in cold sweat, goosebumps instantly consuming my body like a raging wildfire. What happened after the timer started was a blur… until it was 20 minutes before the paper ends.1 I checked through my answers, took a deep breath and left the examination hall early.
You’re now one free man
The feeling of joy and excitement preceeded immediately after the sense of relief as I grabbed my bag and left the examination hall. Nothing feels better than knowing that you’re finally done with the two-week hell hole and that you have the whole 3 months of summer ahead. Called mom to tell her that I’m done and will be packing up to leave, and then my aunt for an impromptu dinner at night. To my surprise, she’s free on that very evening so we decided to meet at Shaw House, Orchard Road for a quick dinner.
We decided to have dinner at a small nifty Japanese restaurant at basement 1. Their pepper rice meals appealed to us, and we had some green tea ice cream before starting our meal proper (that’s bad!). I settled for salmon pepper rice – their serving isn’t huge and the waiters are quite clumsy, but the food is awesome.
I didn’t take more food photos because I was too busy chatting with my aunt. My uncle was there too, and they’re planning to bring their year-old toddler over to Singapore in a few months time. I’m just too excited about it because I will be visiting them and their baby when they’ve settled down in Singapore, and I won’t be always stuck in my room doing nothing on boring weekends.
For this trip to town, I brought myKM f/1.7 50mm lens without my kit lenses, confident that I won’t need them. So I spent some time taking photos at Orchard Road before returning to my room. I set my eyes on the upcoming ION Orchard building across the street, and snapped away from the plaza in front of Shaw House. I used manual focus and adjusted it such that the image is off focus, to capture the bokeh-licious effects of the media facade. The media facade changes colour every second, cycling between white/pale lavender, blue, green and red.

Lights of ION Orchard
Just for you to know, I’ve used four different photos to construct the collage above – it’s not using a single photo and then tweaking the hues :P
Post-exams dinner @ Rangooli
Wednesday evening, I headed out with my classmates for a dinner at a restaurant at Pasir Panjang specializing in Northern Indian Cuisine. Thanks to Marianne for reserving a table for us! Initially we booked 8 seats for the entire gang but then Jean and Michelle couldn’t make it. Jean’s absense was because of a rather dramatic incident earlier in the day when ChoYee found Jean’s parents came storming at her door. Jean was grounded, and I feel bad that she couldn’t spend the evening with us at the restaurant. Michelle couldn’t be there as well, but at least ChoYee did us a great favour for helping to get a really nice doorstopper as a birthday present.
We met at Harbour Front station before riding a bus to the restaurant – conveniently, it’s right opposite the bus stop, so we didn’t do much walking. Along the bus I passed around the toffee-flavoured candy I bought from Marks and Spencers, to the delight of Mingyun, Cheryl and Marianne, as well as to the amusement to other riders sitting around us (they were squealing over the candy haha). Marianne brought us to Rangooli, a restaurant serving North Indian food and her family had dinner over there before.

Rangooli - Northern Indian & Fusion Cuisine
I have to say that it serves one of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. They used a perfect mix of spices, and more importantly, didn’t go craze over it. The fragrance from the spices are appetizing but not too overpowering, and their yogurt drink, known as ‘Lassi‘.2
The restaurant was a little dark with dimmed, warm lighting. The interior, as far as I can remember, has my favourite earthy tones, and they have lights being lit on every single table. The menu gave us an overwhelming choice of what to order, so we left the decision-making part all to Marianne who dined there before. We ordered some lassi and passed it around for others too sample, I remembered Cheryl was super high about the food. We had some crackers as appetizers, served alongside with a white starchy sauce (something like mayonnaise) and a green spicy sauce which Cheryl was totally crazy about.
It’s actually smoked meat – chicken, fish, prawn and sausages. It tasted really great because just like what Marianne said, the fragrance of the spices went all inside the meat. It’s not some superficial sprinkle-on stuff we’re talking about. The fish tasted really fresh and tender, well-cooked and didn’t have a single trace of weird smell that sometimes come with badly-cooked ones.
Then came five bowls of side-dishes – mutton curry, potato curry, spinach with cheese, rice and something else that I can’t remember. We ordered naan to go along with the side-dishes too, and it went perfectly well with the different curries served.3 My personal favourite will be the mutton curry in the photo above – too tasty and fragrant to be ignored. It’s a little spicy but not too much of it that will make me cringe – it’s the well-balanced, perfect, Goldilock’s kind of curry!
Do not ever underestimate the side dishes! We had a crowd of 6 and yet we had a hard time finishing all of the side dishes. So we spent a lot of time talking (and even dwelled into exam topics – my bad!) and chit-chatting – we even cooked up some holiday plan so that we can meet up for a movie. Sweet! Of course, we never forget to take a group photo before we left:
From left: Cheryl, Marianne, Jasyln, ChoYee and Mingyun. Okay, if you haven’t figured it out, I’m the only guy in this group but I never felt alone. Thank you guys for the wondering dinner and the first year of university! I knew Jaslyn and Mingyun first – I remembered we sat beside each other during one of the lectures and slowly, we warmed up to each other. And then we started to gobble up more people to expand our ‘ring of influence’ – a desperate attempt to take over the world  I’m just joking! Then we had Marianne and Cheryl joining us, followed by Choyee, Michelle and the latest, Jean. It always makes me laugh when I receive messages from them with the words “Hey girls, and Terry…”. Hah!
Cheryl is the animated girl – wildly gesturing when she talks and gives you a wide range of emotions (she even mimicked how a tortoise eats, with the tongue sticking out and all); she’s also the baker of the group, who bakes brownies and cookies occasionally for us to sample and enjoy. Marianne is the witty girl who wouldn’t stop cracking funny and intelligent jokes. Jaslyn is the hardworking and yet constantly worried (Jaslyn, don’t think too much okay!) whose favourte phrase is “you understand or not?”. ChoYee is the girl who usually dines with me and my other friends every Tuesday (so much so that it becomes a ritual), very sweet and gave me the label ’sugar rush boy’ (yes, I get high on sugar and I bounce off walls). Mingyun is the guardian, big sister of the group, who keeps things in check and very helpful and considerate; she’s also the one I usually confide to, and share my love for food (she and her boyfriends are awesome foodies!)
We’ve been through so much – the boring lectures of Gerard, the intense tutorials of The Boob Giggler (you wouldn’t want to know where she got the nick from), the pent up frustrations and desperations before exams, the hellish exams and all.
Finally, it’s Fonty Friday again!
Before I wrap up this week’s update, here’s the weekly Fonty Friday feature. For this week, we have the font Hand of Sean made by designer Sean Johnson (@sean23uk on Twitter). Be sure to pay his blog/portfolio a visit – lots of interesting stuff over there.
That’s all for this week! From now on, I will be updating at a greater frequency since exams are over and my summer break has just started.
- We are allowed to leave the examination venue early, but will be prevented to do so 15 minutes before the paper ends. ↩
- Lassi is a popular and traditional South Asian drink originating from Punjab. It is made by blending yoghurt with water, salt, pepper, ice and spices until frothy. ↩
- Naan is a round flatbread made of white flour. It is a staple accompaniment to hot meals in Central and South Asia, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Iran, northern India, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and the surrounding region. ↩

WHOA! That was one hell of a blog entry, hehe. Very much looked forward to this friday ’cause I knew you were going to post, although I didn’t expect it to be so much! Yayyy.
First off, I must say.. yum! I really need to venture away from the ordinary American food and try more Asian cuisine. Although I don’t like fish, the toppings on the salmon dish looked delicious! mmm And I am such a big fan of bread so I really want to try Naan. You always make me so hungry! Grr lol
You and your friends are so cute! I love that you are the only guy in the group, haha very lucky you are. :P I admire the atmosphere in the restaurant as well–it’s gorgeous & so relaxing. I love low lit restaurants. The candles and earthy tones are a plus!
Wow, so much to reply to, I keep having to scroll up so I don’t forget anything, hehe.
Great song choice, btw! I love that song. And I especially loved your description of it. :) “..with the violinists passionately playing. Their long hair weaving through the air as they press their bows against the string, back and forth. It feels like liberation – releasing your inhibitions and letting yourself go free.” Ah, how I would love to see an orchestra play some day! One of my favorite past times is to lie back with headphones on and having beautiful music resonating in my ears. I like visualizing what the music would look like if you could see the notes coming from the instruments. Much fun and very relaxing! Or if it’s an acoustic song, I usually picture me alone sitting in a low-lit room with nothing but the musician and their guitar.
WOOHOO! /cheer, glad to hear school is over and you have a long summer ahead of you. How hot does it get out there anyways? What are some of your favorite summer activities?
I’m very jealous of your 50mm f/1.7 lens, I have been wanting one so badly. I keep checking amazon for one and although I found some nice ones, I just don’t have the money right now! Argh. Soon though! I love your photo though, lovely bokeh! What an amazing building too, wow. All those lights.. I enjoy your photos so much, it keeps me longing to travel.. to see new things and meet new people.
Oh, I voted for your friend Dayna a while ago. She is very much in the lead so I have no doubt she’ll win! Such a cute illustrated layout, I love it.
Here’s to wishing you a great summer break!
P.S. I realized, when you were describing some of your friends, you forgot to finish some descriptions I think. :P

Wow, thanks for the long comment Trina! I will be updating more frequently from now on, so I won’t be cramming everything into one single update. You can always try other non-American cuisines such as Japanese, Chinese, Italian, Greek (love their use of olives!) and Indian. They’re the more common ones that I came across. If you’re a big lover of bread, you’ll love Naan because of its chewiness. It does taste different from the normal kind of bread you eat, but you’ll love it, I think!
Haha, I’d love to think that I’m the lucky guy who get assimilated into a group of girls, but of course, I don’t tell the whole world about it. I resent it when guys know a group of girls and then start bragging to the whole world that they know hot chicks or babes… that’s so jock-like. There’s this special chemistry between us, and all of us love food and frown upon hearing exams and quizzes. We know how to care for each other and have unique roles to play in the group – it’s more like a family that we have over here. I have guy friends too, but in school, I’m closest to them.
Low lit restaurants are romantic places to eat, definitely! But of course, not too dark such that you can’t see what you’re eating. It’s a little too dark inside for the restaurant at first because we arrived around eraly evening (which means it’s still very bright outside), but soon I got accustomed to the atmosphere inside and grown to love the lighting and their use of oil lamps.
The song… I love it! I always imagine myself listening to my favourite song on a warm but breezy Sunday afternoon, lazing on a couch at the verandah and loving the scenery outside. For that, my dream house will be either at the top of a small hill or near the sea, teehee!
It gets really warm out here, hitting 35~38 degrees Celcius (95~100.4 Farenheit) at really warm and sunny afternoons… I guess it’s a lot warmer than the Spring weather over there, right? My cousin just returned from Canada where afternoon temperature lingers around 10 degrees Celcius (50F), and told me she’s already melting under the Malaysian weather, haha!
My favourite summer activities will be going for a swim, preferably on weekday afternoons where the pool is almost empty (everyone is either at work or school). Sometimes I do use the gym and I’m just too happy that it’s empty too (I’m quite self-conscious and more importantly, scrawy. I wouldn’t want to see some muscular hunk beside be working on 200lbs bench press haha). I use the gym to stay healthy and not to bulk up… which is slightly different from the reasons why others visit the gym.
Speaking of my KM 50mm f/1.7 lens, I just lost the lens cap a few days ago and is still trying to find a shop that sells one. I searched for it today and the shop I went only had larger caps (mine is 49mm in diameter). Maybe I should try my luck another time. For the lens, I recommend getting a second hand one as they’re cheaper and quite readily available for sale. I bought mine from another person in Singapore too. It’s hard to find the lens out in shops anymore because I heard KM has discontinued the production line already.
Thanks for the vote, Trina! She’ll be thrilled to know about that. Have a great week ahead too!
I have tried both Chinese and Italian foods. Italian being my favorite! Chris and I live off pastas and breads, hehe. I am actually really curious to try the other cuisines that you named. I have noticed within the past year or so, I am finding my self wanting to venture out of the norm and try new things. Which has not always been the person I am. I guess it’s part of growing up and wanting to experience new things. :D There’s a Thai restaurant Chris and I have been wanting to visit for a while now, I’m really curious and can’t wait to check it out.
I personally admire you for not bragging about being the only guy in your group. And I am so glad to know that you and your friends are more like a family, that’s so wonderful.. and very very hard to come by!
“Low lit restaurants are romantic places to eat, definitely! But of course, not too dark such that you can’t see what you’re eating.” Haha, that reminds me of how I hateee eating in the dark. Even popcorn while watching a movie. If I can’t see it, I won’t eat it. I think this is probably because of a few incidents when I was growing up.. I remember once I was sitting at the kitchen table and reached over in mid-conversation to get my cup, sipped it.. just to find out it was cigarette ashes. My silly grandmother had lost her ash tray so instead used a nearby cup. Gah! Was disgusting..
And, well this is pretty personal and I have no shared this with many people before. But I grew up pretty poor. Mother showered us with cute clothes and plenty of toys yet our house was in pretty bad shape. Was old and run down. From the old age of it and the location of where we lived, we had quite a bit of roaches coming over. And I remember one day I was eating a bowl of cereal and just as I was about to put the spoon in my mouth, I noticed a bug sitting carelessly on my spoon. SO, ever since then.. I keep a close eye on what I put into my mouth, haha.
I find it so funny yet odd that we share the same ideas of a dream home! I too wouldn’t mind it near the sea or on top of a hill (with loads of trees!) I am such a fan of trees. hehe If I could have one growing through my wooden home, I would be in heaven. Seriously, doesn’t that sound so lovely?
Oh my! 95-100F? Yikes. It’s in the 70-80s here. And that’s pretty hot for us, haha. In the summer it does get up in the high 90s though. We are constantly in the pool or under the shade. :P I do love the warmth though, on most days!
I moved into this apartment complex during the fall of last year so I have yet to use our local pool. I look forward to it, but I’m like you.. only when there’s not many people there. Which I’m sure will be never. It doesn’t open up until the kids are out of school.. so looks like I won’t be joining the pool too often. Boo. I am lucky to have an aunt who has a nice pool of her own though! We’re over their quite a bit, but I’m even self-conscious around family.
We have a gym as well.. I use to go pretty often but since Chris has been busy with school, I have stopped going as much. I hate going over there alone.. it’s creepy being in that small room with so many guys.. nothing pisses me off more than a guy who can’t control their eyes. :| It’s downgrading and so impolite.
I do hope you find your lens cap or at least find a replacement. I can imagine how difficult that could be though. I am going to take your advice and try and find a second hand one, it’s going to be one of my first purchases (after bills of course, bleh) that I buy myself once I get that darn job @ the bookstore. :D
Have a great week! Yay for mondays with out school!
P.S. Weird question, haha. Have you ever played The Sims? I use to play it off and on, my favorite thing to do it in though was build and furnish houses. :) I’ve made many many dream homes with that game! hehe
Check out Latrina’s latest blog post » Uncovering who we really are.
I love Italian food too – the most common ones are pizza and spaghetti that we have over here. My friends and I will head to those small Italian cafe almost every month to try out their food. Thai food is pretty nice too, but that’s based on the premise that you can take the spicyness. For people like me who can’t handle the spicyness of Thai food, we will often request the chef to use less chili for our servings.
I don’t have the habit to eat popcorns during the movies too! That’s because when I get too full, I’ll fall asleep. Hah! And I often pay more attention to food than the movie itself if there’s a popcorn or nachos around. So at most what I’ll bring in is a huge cup of coke, heh! Oooof, the ash tray thing is too funny! At least you know how cigarette ashes taste like, heheh. I bet it wasn’t pleasant :/
Owww, roaches! I never liked them, and I have this fear of those that can fly which I’m yet to overcome. I probably haven’t tell anyone about this too – when I was studying for my exams back in college, a flying cockroach flew right into me, bumped on my neck and fell into my shirt. It started this wild flight inside because it couldn’t get out… and that was one of the most horrible feeling I’ve ever felt. In the end it got out, hid in the printer’s catridge and when I turned the printer on, the moving catridge killed the roach and left me a big mess to clean up.
I play Sims for the construction part and less for the playing part. For some reason I see it as an interior decoration programme and I love to build my houses ground up and decorate the house myself. Then I moved on the Sims 2, which offers more flexibility in construction and more furnitures as well. It even comes with an auto-roof thing where you can create fancy roofs for your houses.
Good luck in snagging the job at the bookstore! I hope the interview went well ;)
love that song too ;)
voted!
yummy food and u r the rose among the thorns eh hehehe…enjoy ur post exam break coussie and nice light of ion orchard thingy..somewhat interesting collage
Thanks :) the song is one of my favourite and for some reason, my love for it rekindled during the exams. Thanks for the compliments!
Awww, it’s okay! There’s always another time and it’s never too late. I heard that their concert tickets are not cheap at all… must have costed you a bomb if you go. For the moment being, go indulge yourself with Coldplay in your ears. The good thing is that you don’t have to squeeze and shove your way through the rabid fans haha!
Thanks for the compliments on the ION Orchard photo. The effect is called ‘bokeh’ – have you heard of it before?
Regarding my friends, I’m just too glad and honoured to have them. They’re super nice people and very great to hang out with! More importantly, they listen to you. Not like other superficial friends who only care what they see on the surface.
Thanks for the vote and support. :)
Sounds like you did well for the last paper. One trick that I always use 5 minutes before my actual paper is to take it like a “test”. I have to force myself to think that way so that I can do better. When I feel like I’m taking an actual exam paper, I freaked out and most of the stuff just escape from my brain. I once submitted a blank script because of that. :(
Anyway, is Ion Orchard open already? The lights are on? I went a few days ago and didn’t see any of the lights. It’s really pretty. Illuma at Bugis has a similar lighting effects except that it changes the words instead of colours. I guess there’s a architecture trend in using lightings effects on new shopping malls. It gets attention especially at night.
I’m dying for May 26 to come so that I can enjoy my summer holidays as well. Looks like you had a great time with your friends. Enjoy your summer holidays before hitting the books again! :)
Check out Dayna’s latest blog post » Last 3 days and I need your votes
You’re welcome, Dayna! I hope I’ve helped a little. Good luck for the results! I promise that if you do set up an e-shop I will buy something from you to show my support, heh.
The last paper wasn’t easy, but I choose to take it easy and not get all panicky before the paper because I know it’s the last paper of my first year. I don’t want to have a tragic ending where I start to foam up in my mouth haha! I just want to get it done with, get the hell out of there, pack my stuff and head home to enjoy my holidays.
ION Orchard is not slated to open until next year I think – they’ve got this 200+m condominium to build and looks like they’re not even halfway through yet, although the mall is almost done except for the facade. However, the media facade is already ready, as well as the jumping neon lights in the Exit E (the one facing Orchard Road) of the MRT Station.
I’ve never seen Illuma at night! I’ve gotta head to Bugis someday to visit the complex, especially after you’ve blogged about it. Sounds pretty nice, and I might be able to grab some good food over there.
Good luck for your papers, Dayna! All the best!
That’s the reason why I was so hesitate to try Thai food because of all the spices they use. I will most likely have to request less as well! Mmm, spaghetti & pizza are some of my faves too. Making homemade pizza is so much fun too. And cheesy breadsticks! Yum.
“At least you know how cigarette ashes taste like.” Haha! As if that’s a good thing? Yes, very very unpleasant! I laughed when I read that you fall asleep when you’re hungry, too funny. I suppose most of us do get sleepy.. although it seems as though you may have less control over your state then most. :P Hehe.
GAH! Roaches that fly? That’s terrifying, I don’t think I have ever seen those before, thankfully. I hate most bugs that fly.. well at least the ones that insist to fly around your head/mouth. I just recently got a house plant so there has been a few teeny tiny flying bugs around that have been trying me nuts!
Oh man. I am sorry but your roach story made me laugh. That’s terrible! Must the vision it instilled in me was soo funny. :P I don’t blame you though, I would have been frantic if that happened to me. And the mess.. eek! That’s horrible. I must ask though, did you intentionally turn the printer on? :P
I currently have Sims 2 and I use it pretty much for the same reason. I haven’t played in awhile.. but I would have so much fun building and decorating the homes. When I was really young I wanted to be a construction worker, haha. That was before I heard of architecture. :P Then I grew into a young woman who would much rather decorate than build, hehe. I think there’s a Sims 3 coming out soon, I wonder how that would be..
Oh and thank you! Hopefully I’ll hear back from them soon. I’m trying not to get my hopes too high! But I can’t keep from being excited. –Oh, I forgot to mention the interview in my recent blog like I intended to. It went REALLY well! We basically talked about books the entire time. :) I think I nailed it.
Check out Latrina’s latest blog post » Uncovering who we really are.
I have to concede that Thai food doesn’t go along well with people who dislike the strong smell of spices. It’s not that Thai chefs go overboard with the spices and use them like spam heading into your mailbox, but there are people who can’t handle the aroma and fragrance. And the food you’re served depends on the chef too – whether he/she has this penchant for light but fragrant meals or one who loves to demonstrate how different spices can complement each other (which some may find the odour disagreeable). I’ve never made pizza myself – my roomie is a fast food junkie, let alone a pizza hardcore. When we had refreigrators in our college dorm, he would stock up half the fridge with microwaveable instant pizzas and prepare them whenever he feels hungry. OMG, breadsticks are my favourite too! I love the cheese that is served alongside with breadsticks too. It’s too heavenly!
Haha, cigarette ashes definitely don’t taste good but well, at least you know how it tastes now! Teehee. I once ate sand before (when I fell into the sandpit) and I remembered the grinding sound the sand makes. To make it worse, I’ve seen stray dogs and cats taking dumps in the sandpit. Ooooof!
Isn’t it common for people to fall asleep after a heavy meal? :P I get instantly sleepy after a meal, not to mention a sumptous one. That’s why I fall asleep throughout the journey back home everytime I return from a buffet or an awesome dinner, I just couldn’t keep the sleep bug away! There’s a biological reason to it though – after a heavy meal, your body directs bloodflow to your tummy where the food digestion and absoprtion takes place, so your brain is starved of nutrients and oxygen, which kicks one into ‘Sleep’ mode.
Some roaches can fly… and fly high! I’m not particularly afraid of roaches (I stomped on them when I was a kid, although mom protested mightily after she found ooze on the kitchen floor), but the randomness and unpredictability that come with their ability to fly scares me. You never knew where they’ll be heading towards too, so I’d flee if I see one!
Yes, you got me. I intentionally turned the printer on in a desperate bid to get it out. I didn’t know it got wedged in there and so, it got mutilated pretty badly. I would love to empathize with the roach but I pity myself more for being forced to clean the whole mess that stupid creature made.
I play Sims 2 for the same reason too! In fact, I’ve almost filled up the entire neighbourhood with my buildings and there isn’t enough families to go around haha! I play it on my roomie’s computer though, so I don’t get to see it for 3 months until next year. I might be getting a copy for my laptop since my new lappie finally has the specs to run the new game. My dad is an architect and my mom was an ex-interior designer, so yea I had dreams to follow either one of their career paths in the future. I loved making doll houses back then (in the midst of being teased by friends for being girl-like) and also to play Lego bricks. I knew exactly what I wanted each time I played – whether I needed a townhouse, a bungalow, an office building and etc. It just saddens me that at the end of the day, I have to take it apart and store the bricks away before I head to bed. My parents made sure that I don’t create a big mess out of the house :P hehe!
I’m glad that the interview went well! Do share with us the good news when you get the job! You’ve definitely nailed it!
Indian cuisine is kinda exotic but I never tried Indian cuisine before. Well after reading your post I think I should give it a try next time. Especially the curry! Looks so delicious!!! =)
Oooh, you should give it a shot! You’ll love it. It also depends on what kind of Indian cuisine you’re looking for – personally I prefer north Indian food (nice spices!) and the roadside mamak culture.
