Lists & Lists
I’ve definitely changed, but I couldn’t tell whether is it for the better or for the worse. Anyway, here’s a list what 2007 looks to be like to me, at the end of the journey of 2007:
- Grown taller, that’s the obvious thing. Currently at 164cm, as tall as Avril Lavigne (yea) I can’t believe I can still grow after hitting 18.
- Made new friends - both in my class and outside my social circle, getting in touch with my primary school classmates through, Facebook!!!
- Kept this blog alive, after a nasty domain transfer and a database error.
- Been a helpful person, after deciding that helping others around you will not shortern your lifespan or whatsoever.
- Been a good listener, learning how to listen to what people have to say, place myself in their shoes, think before I say anything stupid.
- Survived A Levels, with 22nd of November being the most triumphant day of my life so far.
- Learnt how to love myself, and learning how to let things go. Learning not to hang on to people who don’t bother about you anymore, learning not to cry on my birthday even when things are really sour. Learning how to treat myself with dignity and respect.
- Realised that 06S75 is the best thing ever, a class with an amazing combination of people with different personalities, preferences, loves, hates, interests and whatnots. Cherished everything that have to do with my class, treasured every single moment I spent with them.
- Opened a Facebook account, and you search for my over there by typing Terry Mun. Got in touch with my old friends, and helluva unknown people from Fighters’ Club, how funny!
- Left Singapore, after living there for 6 years. I would not say this is a good thing, since I miss their efficiency and clean air afterall. And of course, their food. Mmph. And my friends!
Here’s what I wish I could do in 2008:
- Get some working experience, tentative job is working at Starbucks or Coffee Bean. Not because I get to steal cups of coffee everyday (I doubt whether the manager will even let me have a sip of their gorgeous brew), but I want the unique experience of working at a place bustling with life (so that’s a big NONO for me to do office work and stuff alike)
- Get my teeth braced. Ouch. Sounds really bad, since the dentist said that I’ll need to get rid of at least 4 teeth. And imagine having two strips of metal fastened to the rest of your teeth, forcefully moving them into ideal positions to achieve a sexy smile. What a price to pay huh. And not to forget those nasty little ulcers!
- Learn to drive, since most teenagers of my age in Malaysia have already learnt how to handle a car or anything that moves on a road (besides bicycles, that is).
- Do some voluntary work perhaps? Since I would really love to do something for the less fortunate. Anything, like helping out in a hospital on weekends or something.
- Get into my desired university. Gosh, I would love to enjoy the fun of a gap year but looks like my parents want me to get my butt into a university by July.
- Get myself something nice, like a dSLR or an iPhone. It’s a really tough call, since even my maximised budget allows me to go either one of them, but not both!
- Continue blogging, that’s for sure. This blog has been running for 3.5 years, and there is simply no reason why I should stop. I truly love it, and believe me or not, I intend to keep it until I’m old enough to forget what I should write when I’ve just thought about it a minute ago.
- Take more photographs? I know I’m not a really good photographer (just do a random search on flickr and you’ll see millions that are way better than mine), but I guess practise makes me get better with it?
- Get fat, at least. I’ve been scrawny for 18 years of my life, and I wish I can get a little fatter. I’m not really into pumping iron, just a little plump will make me happy.
- Enjoy life? Now this is tricky. Enjoy… what? Everything around me, everybody around me, every moment I live, every breath I take. Cherish every moment, because you’ll never know maybe it’s the last.

Happy New Year! Seems like we have lots of common stuffs, eg. took few GBs of photos (unfortunately, mine hits the 10GB mark already, LoL, but less than 1GB are considered acceptable, hai!), and I am getting/got what you want in 2008, such as taking more and more photos, learn driving (passed law, driving lesson starts soon) and get a dSLR, hehe.
Good luck and all the best, and you’re not going back to Sg anymore? Aww, thought we could meet up some day. =)
