Yep, teddY-risatioN™ turns four today :) this blog was born on the 1st of July, 2004. A brief summary of my endeavours in the blogosphere is that I started off with Google’s Blogger, with a friend’s help. Mind you, I have no idea what XHTML and CSS were back then. After a year, my dad bought teddy-o-ted.com as an early birthday gift for me, and teddY-risatioN™ is transferred to a fantastic blogging platform called Wordpress. Realising that self-hosted Wordpress opens up a million more posibilites when it comes to content management and design, I was determined to pick up XHTML, CSS and some basic digital darkroom skills using Photoshop. Today I stand before you as a amateur designer and photographer :razz:
Special thanks to all the friends in the big wide blogosphere, Facebook, Twitter and Plurk that gave me the courage to move on wtih life after difficult scenarios and keep on the spirit of blogging.
The past year has been a really meaningful one to me! In chronological order, I’ve:
- Ate icecream, my best comfort food behind CoffeeBean’s mudpie, with my classmates :)
- Stitched the biggest panorama so far… 600kb of scrolling fun!
- Bought a pair of Converse canvas shoes, and headed over to Marina Bay, Singapore for a photoshoot session.
- Attempted writing a short story, the first time in my life!
- Survived A Levels and successfully prevented myself from puking on my lap after watching The Kingdom (blame it on motion sickness!!!)
- Visited the brand new airport terminal of Changi Airport, Singapore. Done a photoshoot as well!
- Engaged in a virtual catfight with a childish flamer… and WON!
- Started playing around with HDR – a new level of photography.
- Adopted and cared for the little kittens in my neighbourhood.
- Got my braces installed – I’m now Mr Ugly Betty!
- Published a HDR tutorial – the best tutorials I’ve written so far, IMHO.
- Shared funny YouTube clips, and laughed like a madman.
- Seen a biker falling from the sky – ouch!
- Embarked on a cycling trip around my township.
- Got a new dSLR – Sony Alpha 200!
Have fun reading. Oh, and before I end this post, I would want to share a photo I’ve been keeping in my folder for so long – I couldn’t find a post to place it in :) now this is a good chance!

This is the collection of plushies my brother and I share – we’ve been collecting since we’re little kids but lost interest when we become teenagers. One day the prospect of losing them in a fire haunted me so much that I brought all of them out of the closet (no pun intended) just to take a photo for them. So here they are, all 34 (or is it 36?) of them ;)

Congratulations! You started your blog on Canada Day? :grin: Canada turns 141 on July 1st. Your blog turns 4. :grin: Oh yeah– I have the pikachu stuffie too! I think it’s smaller though. It was a gift from when I graduated. I had to give her props because it was so random– there wasn’t a grad hat or ANYTHING related to graduation when I received it. Pikachu was “holding” (taped) a card, though. :grin: Happy Birthday to your blog! :lol:

Ah ha. I knew it had something to do with a Birthday – whether it was yours (although I did visit your Facebook page shortly after your *hinting* plurk post, and discovered I was wrong on your Birthday…).
4 years? 2004? You opened shortly after I graduated from High School, and turned 18. I can’t believe all of that was already 4 years ago – time flies!

I can see the transformation of your blog since the beta version. You have definitely improved in your CSS and XHTML, plus your recent photography skill. All I can see is the born of another famous blogger.
Keep it up and I will keep coming to your blog.
Anyway, I plan to stop blogging early next year when my domain expired. I will be working soon and have other important thing in my life to attend to. However, I will bookmark your blog and will visit every now and then.

I didn’t know Canada Day falls on the first of July when I started this blog four years back, lol! I just knew about it last year, but weirdly enough I was stupid to forget that my blog birthday falls on the same day. The Pikachu stuffed toy actually belongs to my mom (yes, you didn’t read it wrongly) but then she lost interested in it so it tragically trickled down into my closet.
There’s a graduation gift in that photo! It’s a teddy bear, to the bottom right of the Pikachu plushie.

Wow I didn’t see four years as that long! Blogging makes time fly really quickly and I really like it that it archives your feelings and thoughts, and freezes them in time. I’m not sure whether I’ll be re-reading my posts in the future, but it’s better to keep them… and keep on blogging!

Such coincidence! Not to mention we share so many similarities for our personalities ;) I intially didn’t want to prop them up and make it look like an oh-so-formal photoshoot, but since many of them are so small and some of them are horribly big, it’s hard to get all of them seen in the photo without being propped up.

Wow you are the fastest replier on earth, I reckon!
I remembered this scene when I was on my first flight in my life, at five. I was holding onto a plushie on the seat and the steward joked that he has ‘never seen boys carrying barbies around’… and I stared so madly at him, mom thought I’m going to burn him with my eyes! She told me that it was the first time seeing me getting so infuriated with a comment :smile: you know, I was a little angel when I was a kid (some shameless ego-centric comment, I know).
Sorry to hear that you’ve lost your plushies! I would have kicked up a big fuss if my parents ever had the intention to throw my brother’s and my collection away.

Everyone who came to my house found it funny when they saw the 3 barbie dolls in my room, too. =p Nothing bad about that, just make sure it’s a genuine Barbie, =D They’re arts, =)

I have a cousin (and it’s a HE) who is an avid doll collector :) his main area of interest is in Victorian dolls, but he does have a handsome collection of barbies and Ken dolls too!
