I’ve been accumulating a couple of unused design prototypes around, so I thought of dumping two of the nicer ones for you to have a look at:
Adobe Creative Suite 3 Icons
![]()
The well-known rebranding move by Adobe - they ditched all the old icons and brought in new, plain, simple and colour-coded ones. I’ve always wanted to create the new icon look but it is hard to replicate (or it is because I was just lazy?). Then I stumbled upon this tutorial (Adobe Icon’s on TutorialFx) on how to recreate the icons using simple tools in Adobe Photoshop.
Esprit Raspberry

No, I wasn’t paid to get this done! It is just another way I thank Espirt for bringing us such wonderful flavoured fizzy fruit juices to us. I was once crazy over their drinks and I kept every single bottle after my drink. The lighting effect was partially true, partially fake - a lightsource was placed at the bottom of the bottle and the bottle was propped up by, guess what, my alarm clock! The fake ones were the floating orbs and nothing else. The rough texture wasn’t photoshopped in either - it was my bedroom wall. Check out the original photos below:

It just takes a little photoshop work during post-production
plus repeatedly trying to draw the perfect path for the orbs using the pen tool.

The whole bottle of Esprit seem so lively after you apply the light effect. Nice work!
By the way, I have tried once of Esprit drink, i find it kinda special, compared to other carbonated drink. (COrrect me if I am wrong, as I think Esprit is carbonated too).
Quite expensive for 1 bottle of esprit.

Aww thank you
Esprit drinks are quite expensive in Malaysia. The last time I checked the price, it’s MYR5.50 for each bottle - it’s even pricier than meal sets in some cafes! But yea I love the way they branded Esprit, as well as the transparent plastic labels! I don’t like paper labels because after you wash the bottles (for collectors like me) the paper will get all crumpled and torn. Esprit is indeed a carbonated drink… if I’m not wrong, they call it carbonated fruit drink

HAHAHAHAHAAHA TERRY YOU ARE DAMN CUTE You spelled Espirt instead of Esprit!! So much for the disclaimer that this isn’t an advertorial! Hahahaha.
But anyway nice work there! I AM JEALOUS ABOUT YOU HAVING CS3.
Must. Get. CS2. Asap.

Lol Huilin you’re so bad, laugh at people’s typo
but all thanks to your great obsevation, I’ve corrected the spelling error
thank you! Hahaha!
Hmmmm actually CS3 comes with fancier but non-essential functions, so don’t feel bad about the fact that your new lappie doesn’t support Adobe CS3 programmes
huggs!

hahahaha your friend’s(Hui Lin) comment is so cute! Anyways, i hadn’t been drinking Esprit for a long time and my favourite one is Lemon & Lime or Passionfruit. Never tried raspberry before though!
Esprit drinks should ask you to design an advert poster thingy for them ahahahaha! I bet a million more people will queue up to buy their drinks

Lol she’s just having fun digging my mistakes haha! My favourite flavour is passion fruit
heh. I’ve been buying it after I’ve savoured all the other flavours because I couldn’t bear to waste MYR5.50 on another flavour that I don’t quite like haha!
Awww your compliment is so heart-warming! Thank you!

You make your designs so much more interesting… hands down to your design skills!! I find that I haven’t really worked with CS as much as I used to, and I only do it to blend in pictures for my posts. I haven’t made a wallpaper that I actually enjoyed in a long time. Make me one!! hehe j/k

Hey Destiny, my web design skills seems to be on the same wasting, atrophy path as your CS skills
it has been a long time since I played around with XHTML and CSS and I’m getting a little worried that I’ve forgotten some stuff
haha!
I couldn’t even make a decent wallpaper
it just fries my brain thinking about making a nice-looking one haha!

Hey, your Esprit commercial is really nicely done!
Very creative work! =)
And went to read your Plurk feed, hmm, new icon packs? =D And you mentioned about gorillapod, please write a detail report after you get it! I wanted to get a gorillapod zoom (although I don’t have any zoom! I just want extra reliability..)
