Well, that’s gonna hurt!

I was doing a random surfing session on the web when I stumbled upon this image from a forum, whcih is linked from, oddly enough, a Wordpress thread. I’ve taken it from the forum directly without any form of editing and gave credit to the forum for hosting it (I did a quick search for it in Flickr but it turned out to have no such photo uploaded). Click on it the view it larger!

What really interests me is the expression of the spectators. I have them magnified here:

Reactions from spectators

Look at their horrified, wide-mouthed faces! The evil part of my is smirking, but I know the fall will definitely hurt more than just a mere Ouch!

[Edit]: I just realised something interesting! If you try to draw straight lines from the people’s faces towards the top of the photo (following the direction their faces are facing), you’ll get the precise location of the “flying” person :)

 I never thought of trying drawing the lines out, but since Id says she’ll try it, I think I should give it a shot as well! So here it is - hover your mouse to reveal the actual location of the flying biker, and click on it to remove the lines (I’ve photoshopped the photo to remove the biker - just a little darkroom tweaking)

Tracing lines

Now this is pure cheese!

OMG!! That picture spells out OUCH in huge capital letters! Man I can’t understand why people do extreme sports like that especially with no helmet or safety gear. The guy is still probably recovering in hospital till this day.

Also wanted to say thanks teddy for adding me to your links. I really appreciate being linked with such an esteemed site such as this ;)

Haha yea, I bet that person must have suffered some pretty nasty injuries. Imagine falling from that height and at that speed  eeeks!

You’re welcome Nel :) it’s my pleasure to link! Mine is not really an esteemed site, really  I get pretty normal (sometimes even subnormal) visitor traffic. I just blog for the fun of blogging!

when i take a first look at the first picture, i can feel the pain on my chin and face already!! There’s a high possibility that he will break his nose unless he can land with his hands and legs. Not to be mean la, but then i think the facial expressions of those people are very funny. It seems like those people in the movies where alien is taking over the Earth. Okay i’m just being crappy at this moment. :???: Oh btw, thanks for linking me again!

I have give kudos to the guy who had his camera out and ready at the right time. Now that is someone who knows how to use his toy.

But seriously, the guy must have taken a nasty spill! Poor guy. But then again, to live daringly is to live hard.

Your edit comment is really interesting. Now I feel like copying the image onto Photoshop and trying it out for myself.

    Happy Easter Sunday, Ted! =D

Melissa: Well I imagined him falling face down towards the *ouch* hard concrete pavement. Most probably he’ll break his nose, suffer a fractured jaw and a few broken limbs perhaps. But I guess that fall isn’t really very fatal. I hope he did break the fall somehow by using his hands and legs! Their faces are hilarous, I know it’s bad for me to say that, but look, it’s really entertaining. I’ve been linking you all the time :D I don’t actually remove links unless the blog is dead (like no updates for a year or so).

Id: Yeap! That’s a (picture) perfect moment frozen in time. I think the flying biker would have laughed his butt off if he gets to see it. He should seriously have some safety paddings… for the [Edit] part, I’ve now added a photo for your reference! I’ve tried to align the line to their viewing direction, and yep, all the them fall on the flying biker’s body! Happy Easter Sunday to you too, Id!

I hope the pain was worth it, a photograph like that is really amazing. Look at the air he’s getting. WOW!And LOL at the “scroll horizontally. I was expected to see him curled in a ball on the ground in pain, but when I just saw the long line of people like this => … it was still just as funny–erm, I mean dramatic. :p

OOOOOUCH! I can’t imagine the heaps of injuries that guy must have gotten. I recon to this day, he’s regretting even doing that. Hopefully, he was okay.

Lulz at the lines. I can see where most of the men were focusing. ;)

    Happy Easter!

Melle: That flying experience is a one-of-a-lifetime kind :) the scroll horizontally photo is used to emphasize on the facial expressions of the specators. Very dramatic indeed!

Brandy: I think that fall isn’t going to be fatal  but yea it will surely going to hurt him a lot! Ouch. Happy belated Easter!

@ingSiang: Too bad it’s in some language which I couldn’t read (is it Spanish, Italian, German or Spanish? They all look the same to me)… oh and I just realised the second guy to the left is also a photographer! Too bad I didn’t see his photos - it’ll be pretty amazing I think.

@med: Yea, in fact, it’s a double big ouch!

@Aisyah: Same here! He probably stayed in the hospital for weeks after that fall… it’s surely painful!
